Japanese Mattresses and Foam Toppers

When the National Aeronautics and Space Administration came up with the idea of the memory foam back in the 1970’s, companies caught up with this new technology and developed it in order for it to become marketable. Sweden had the distinction of coming up with the first invention; Tempur-Pedic(R) released the first commercial memory foam mattresses in the early 1990’s. Other companies in other countries started following suit.

Apparently one of the technology giants in the world, Japanese companies developed their own line of memory foam mattresses and memory foam pillows that are intended to compete in the global market with other companies in other countries. There has been a lot of memory foam mattresses that came from Japan. The Yasuragi memory foam mattress and memory foam toppers are only one of them.

Yasuragi Memory Foam Mattresses and Toppers

Yasuragi is the Japanese word for peace, and indeed, peace in sleep is what this brand of memory foam promises the user. It claims to be the #1 mattress and foam topper sold in the Japanese market.

With a thickness of 8 inches, with 3 inches occupied by the actual memory foam mattress supported by a 5-inch ordinary foam base, Yasuragi is a five-pound density mattress. It has a 3-inch resilience, which means it sinks as deep as 3 inches when pressure is applied on it. The developers of this memory foam mattress claim to have been able to give this foam mattress twice the lifespan of ordinary foam mattresses that the world has known. It is also marketed as having the highest quality of visco-elastic foam among other memory foam mattresses. memory_foam_pillow.jpg

The Yasuragi memory foam mattress was developed not only for physical comfort but for safety as well. Dust mites and bed bugs have no place in any kind of mattress. The Yasuragi is designed to be resistant to infestation by these unwanted critters; it has also been designed to be hypoallergenic so anyone can use the mattress with no problem. It has soft velour cover, which you can take off and wash to make sure that there are indeed no mites and dust bugs in the covering.

This foam is offered in five sizes: the twin size, queen size, full size, king size, and cal king size. According to the creators of the Yasuragi, it may take some adjustments in order to take full advantage of the foam mattress’ features. To those that have been used to lying on an ordinary mattress, they may take up to 2 weeks to a full month in order to completely adjust to the noticeably different texture of the memory foam.

The Yasuragi memory foam mattress can be used all by itself, or as a foam topper for a platform.

The Japanese have had a reputation for being perfectionists. If you are looking for a mattress that can give you the most comfort, the Yasuragi may yet be your ideal foam mattress. It carries the near-perfect standard of its Japanese manufacturers for your benefit.
